Privacy Policy

1. Identification of the Data Controller

The controller of the Monvee application and the manager of your personal data within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council (GDPR) is:

The controller is available at the specified e-mail address for all questions regarding the protection of personal data. In accordance with applicable legal regulations, the controller is not obliged to appoint a Data Protection Officer (DPO), as the processing of personal data is not his core business activity and he does not perform large-scale processing of special categories of data.

2. What Personal Data We Collect

As part of providing the services of the Monvee application, we process the following categories of personal data:

• Registration and Identification Data: Upon registration and account management, we collect your e-mail address, which is necessary for creating and managing your user account.
• Financial Records: We process data that you voluntarily enter into the application, such as expenses, limits, categories, and notes. This data serves exclusively to provide the functionality of the application (displaying overviews).
• Invoicing Data (in the case of paid services): If you use paid features or subscriptions, we process data necessary for invoicing and accounting for payments.

3. Why We Collect Personal Data – Legal Basis

We process personal data exclusively on valid legal bases within the meaning of Article 6 of the GDPR:

• Performance of a Contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): We process registration data and financial records in order to provide you with the service you requested by registering for the application.
• Compliance with a Legal Obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): In the case of paid services, we process your invoicing data for the purpose of fulfilling tax and accounting obligations (e.g., the Accounting Act).
• Legitimate Interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): We process technical data (logs) for the purpose of ensuring the security of the application, system stability, and error detection.
• Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): In the case of sending marketing communications, we process your e-mail address exclusively on the basis of your prior consent, which you can revoke at any time.

4. How We Use Personal Data

We use the personal data of users exclusively for the purposes for which it was collected:

• Account Management and Support: Registration data serves for account management, identity verification at login, and communication with you within support.
• Displaying Statistics: Financial records that you enter into the application are used exclusively to display overviews and statistics directly for you within the application. We do not analyze this data for other purposes.
• Improving the Application: We use technical and analytical data to eliminate errors and optimize the performance of the application.
• Marketing: If you have granted consent to receive updates, we may use your e-mail address to inform you about updates to the Monvee application.

5. To Whom We Provide Personal Data

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise provide your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes. However, to ensure the functioning of the application, we cooperate with trusted partners:

• Distribution of the Application: The application is distributed through the App Store (Apple Inc.) and Google Play (Google LLC) platforms, which process certain technical data in accordance with their own terms.
• Cloud Hosting: User data is securely stored through the cloud provider Render, which acts as a data processor and is contractually bound to process data exclusively according to our instructions.

6. Where Personal Data is Stored and Its Security

The personal data of users is stored on secure servers of the cloud service provider Render located within the European Union (EU).

Data Security: The controller declares that he has adopted all appropriate technical and organizational measures to secure personal data, including data encryption in transit (SSL/TLS) and ensuring secured access to databases, in order to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or damage thereto.

7. How Long We Retain Personal Data

We retain personal data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected:

• Registration Data and Financial Records: We retain them for the entire duration of your user account. Upon account deletion, this data is immediately erased.
• Invoicing Data: Data related to purchases and the fulfillment of tax obligations (invoicing data) is retained for a period of 10 years in accordance with the relevant legal regulations of the Slovak Republic (in particular, the Accounting Act).

8. Rights of Users

In connection with the processing of your personal data, you have the following rights, which you can exercise by sending a request to the e-mail address contact@monveeapp.com:

• Right of Access: You have the right to know what data we process about you and to obtain access to it.
• Right to Rectification: You have the right to the immediate correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data.
• Right to Erasure (Right to be Forgotten): You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data if it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was obtained, or if you withdraw your consent.
• Right to Data Portability: You have the right to request the provision of your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format.
• Right to Object: You have the right to object to the processing of data based on our legitimate interest.
• Right to Lodge a Complaint: If you believe that we are processing your data in violation of legislation, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection of the Slovak Republic (Úrad na ochranu osobných údajov Slovenskej republiky, Hraničná 12, 820 07 Bratislava, https://dataprotection.gov.sk/).

9. Cookies and Tracking

The Monvee mobile application does not use marketing or tracking cookies, nor does it use third-party tools for user profiling. To ensure stability and error detection, we may process exclusively technical logs (e.g., error messages) without any link to your identity.

10. Changes to the Privacy Policy

The controller reserves the right to update this privacy policy at any time, in particular in connection with changes in legislation or the development of the application. We will inform you about material changes in advance (by e-mail or via an in-app notification) with sufficient notice (generally at least 14 days before the changes take effect). By continuing to use the application after the changes become effective, you acknowledge the updated policy.

This policy comes into effect on the day of its publication.
